ENHANCE Our Focus

 

To have site growth through ALPHA

Why: Alpha has many similar values to us— intellectual, spiritual, and welcoming. Alpha will become our consistent corporate approach across all our locations to reach people in our region.

How: We see our church regularly offering people opportunities to serve and invite people in their spheres of influence to come and explore questions of faith through Alpha. We will also research the distinctions for hosting urban, suburban, and rural Alpha sessions.


Raise Prayer Awareness around ALPHA

Why: A foundation of prayer is critical to running Alpha successfully. We must not forget it as we dive into programming and logistics. As Alpha says of itself, “Alpha is perfectly designed to fail if the Holy Spirit does not show up”.

How: In annual planning, task our Alpha team to ensure there are significant prayer components at all locations. We will integrate Alpha and our prayer ministry.

ACROSS OUR NATION AND BEYOND, WE WILL

EXPAND Our Influence

 

Be an ALPHA Training Hub for other churches

Why: Since the 2017 Alpha push across the GTA, we have hosted Alpha training events on behalf of Alpha. We want to open our doors to model how churches should come together to share the Gospel.

How: We will continue to prioritize these events on our annual calendar.


Invest in and strengthen our relationship with ALPHA Canada

Why: As Alpha Canada becomes clearer on their vision for Canada and as we desire to have presence, we want to be working in step with Alpha Canada to ensure we’re aware of the nuances and best practices in future locations.

How: Continue our close relationship with Alpha leadership and their strategies for reaching the GTA.

 

 

WITHIN OUR ORGANIZATION, WE WILL

ENSURE Our Foundation

 

Raise ALPHA to an organizational value status

Why: During the last Plan, we solidified Alpha as our corporate evangelism strategy, and in Plan 2 we want to see that worked out with excellence on a day to day level. It needs to be given regular priority at the top of the organization.

How: In annual planning we well ensure Alpha is always a priority, and make sure our Senior Leadership Team is tangibly involved at Alpha sessions across our locations.
