AT ALL OUR LOCATIONS, WE WILL
ENHANCE Our Focus
Investigate the future of 599 Bayly St. Location
Why: Through the lens of stewardship, we need to remember that the 599 Bayly Street, Ajax location is one of our most valuable assets. The property could help fund all that God has called us to do. We need to have the posture that this is an asset we’re currently stewarding, and we want to steward it with wisdom over the next 5 years.
How: Through annual planning, membership discussions, and board discussions we will seek prompting and planning about what to do with this building that has served us so well for the last 20 years.
Invest in a broadcast location to support and increase quality of multi-site model
Why: The broadcast to all of our current and future sites is a key factor in our church’s experience. Our current broadcast location (Ajax) was never built with this kind of technology in mind, and as we investigate the future of 599 Bayly St, we will also be considering what is needed in a broadcast location that will serve us well into the future.
How: Continue to learn what works well, and doesn’t work well in our multi-site model as it relates to broadcasting and technology. We need to build out a broadcast technology plan so that if/when opportunity presents itself we are prepared.
ACROSS OUR NATION AND BEYOND, WE WILL
EXPAND Our Influence
Explore Opportunities in these locations:
Implement strategic relationship with Trinity Centres Foundation for building acquisition/use opportunities
Why: Trinity Centres Foundation has a clear vision for restoring Canadian Churches as central community hubs with church communities and Christian worship remaining in these spaces.
How: As we desire to move into the new cities above, we will be in close discussion with Trinity Centres Foundation and their expansion plans to see if mutually beneficial opportunities present themselves.
WITHIN OUR ORGANIZATION, WE WILL
ENSURE Our Foundation
Research and act upon opportunities around mergers, purchases, rentals, etc.
Why: Launching a site from scratch is only one way to add a location in a multi-site model. In our research, there have been plenty of multi-site churches who have approached, and been approached by other churches to join their multi-site movement. This is something we need to do well to ensure the Church is strengthened when these opportunities arise.
How: Internal clarity on how we launch and develop sites that may have a church history, and how we honour that well.
Resource age/stage ministries
Why: The logistics of launching a site can be a large task, so when we launch a new site we want to make sure age/stage ministries are properly resourced to be able to expand with our Sunday church operations.
How: Annual planning and key insight into age/stage ministry models for multi-site churches will help drive this initiative forward.
